Aloha,
My name is Martin Grassberger. I was born and raised in a small Ski Resort in the beautiful Austrian Alps called, Aflenz-Kurort. My native language is German and I am fluent in English. In 1997 graduated in Hotel Management, Vienna, Austria. The next 9 months I did my mandatory Army service. I immediately returned to the Hotel/Restaurant management industry. I received the opportunity in February 2000 to move to Naples, Florida and participate in an 18 month Hotel MID. (Manager in Development) program for Boca Resorts. Gaining international experience in the United States was a dream of mine since the age of 10.

After the 18 month Boca Resorts MID program, I was offered to extend my stay and be sponsored years later as a permanent resident. I moved to Hawaii in 2009 and I am currently living in Kailua Kona. I first visited the Big Island in 2004 and intended to stay for two weeks. I fell in love with the Aloha Spirit and stayed for 6 months.

My brother Thomas introduced me to Swan Elliott, owner of Focus International Model and Talent Agency. In February 2004 I signed a 5 year talent agreement as a model and actor. Runway and Fashion shows are a great passion of mine as well. I have had the opportunity to build an entertainment career that lead me to act in several movies, fashion shows, commercials and print jobs between Los Angeles, Florida, Singapore and Hawaii. After six exciting and successful months I decided to relocate to Los Angeles, California to pursue more acting and modeling. I appeared on several TV Shows: Entourage, Las Vegas and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I acted in 3 short films which are listed on the IMDB list. 2009/2010 I played Nicolas Heart, the lead male actor in a Vampire Movie filmed on the Big Island of Hawaii. My most recent jobs where Phillip Morris - A National Campaign for Europa shot and filmed on Oahu. The Ko Olina Golf Club on Oahu. 2011 Eddie Bauer Summer Catalog. Kona Commans City Mall and my most recent performance was for Cirque Du Soleil out of Kona, Hawaii. 2010 I became Focus International's Male Model of the Year.

In October 2006 I successfully received a diploma from the National Personal Trainings Institute in Santa Monica, California by completed all the requirements in the Theory and Practice of Personal Training and Nutrition. Currently I train private clients in their homes, at "The Club" in Kailua Kona, and at the Mauna Lani Resort & Spa, Waikoloa, Hawaii. I specialize in weight loss, strength and body conditioning. Being able to improve peoples life's gives me great joy and satisfaction. One of my favorite clients and a success stories is with Nancy Sweatt. Nancy had been in tryouts to become an Olympian in Horse Show Jumping. Her life and career was interrupted tragically because of a major car accident caused by a Mac Truck. She was told that she would not be able to walk anymore, for the rest of her life. Luckily Nancy thought differently. When I met Nancy on July 29th, 2009 she weight 256 pounds. Her voice was sad, yet I felt a connection with her and that connection today, is strong and vibrant. After a 30 minute ‘one on one’ consultation we decided to take on a journey to regain wellness in her life. Nancy currently weighs 168 pounds and regained a health spirit that is leading her to Optimal Health. With my guidance and her willingness, discipline and effort, she reduced her weight by 90 pounds and has brought her blood pressure and cholesterol to normal ranges with out medication.

My personal passion is to stay in top physical shape for myself and also to teach and educate others in becoming more aware of the importance of a clear state of mind, good nutrition and exercise combined. I completed my first Triathlon on September 7th 2008 in Los Angeles, California. I finished since then several races on the Big Island including the Honolulu Marathon on December 14th 2009.

In February 2004 I entered in a Runway Scholarship program for Debra Bridgers , Owner of Make My Day Hawaii and won first place in the Athletic Swimwear Division. Make My Day Hawaii is a non-profit public charity, established in 2002 in memory of Eric MacCammond, A young man with a passion for the Arts, Music, Surfing and LIFE!  Make My Day Hawaii actively pursues its mission by providing resources and expertise for the students of Hawaii’s schools to pursue their dreams through active fundraising, mentor programs, and the annual Day of Giving event. In 2009 when I returned to the Big Island I reconnected with Debra and she offered me to teach and lead runway, photo movements and wellness workshops for young talent.

Another great passion of mine is to write articles about Wellness. In 2007 Immigrant Magazine requested and offered to publish my articles. Immigrant Magazine is based out of Los Angeles, and is an international recognized informational magazine. Every other month I write an article for the Immigrant Magazine Inc. My articles can be viewed at www.immigrantmagazine.com - Living Well > Health & Fitness.

November 12th 2009, Captain Nancy Sweatt, and I created the Dolphin Wellness Retreat. Captain Nancy is the Owner of Dolphin Journeys and the boat, Dolphin TLC. The Retreat is birthed out of inspiration from the dolphins and Nancy’s amazing physical transformation. The Retreat’s are a way for us to give back, to share our talents and to give others a chance to experience life at it's best. Capt. Nancy says: “Martin approaches his life and works from multiple dimensions. He has a balance between no-nonsense work ethic with kindness and caring; a unique blend of strength, intelligence and fun. He intends everyday to be joyous. He first caught my attention when he said to me: Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change. I knew I found a kindred spirit and it would be wonderful to facilitate retreats together.” Visit: www.dolphinwellnessretreat.com

I continue to pursue my dreams and abide by a philosophy from what a wise person once told me that "The Key To Success Is Persistence, Attitude and simply NEVER QUIT!"

Thank you for taking the time to read my personal life's journey and accomplishments. I hope it finds you well and may God Bless us always as one.

Aloha and Mahalo,
